In the heart of the Adriatic Sea, where the beauty of the coastal towns meets domestic charm, lies the Kamenari-Lepetane ferry line.
This vital route, owned by JPMD, is a symbol of integration, accessibility and prioritizing the needs of citizens.
As per the decision of the Government of Montenegro from February 15, 2023, the Public Company was enabled to engage in maritime and coastal passenger transportation, as well as passenger transportation on inland waterways, where the Kamenari-Lepetane ferry line provides reliable and efficient passenger and vehicle transportation in the area between the municipalities of Tivat and Herceg Novi. With a fleet of eight ferries, with a capacity for 300 vehicles, the smooth operation of the ferry line is ensured.
What makes this ferry line special is its focus on the needs of citizens. The ticket price of only 3 euros for residents of Tivat and Herceg Novi, both in season and out of season, testifies to the desire to provide accessible transportation to everyone. But the privileged status is not only reserved for travelers with a ticket in hand. Free transportation is provided for cyclists, people with special needs, ambulances, fire fighters, as well as for members of the Police Administration and the Army of Montenegro, which supports urgency and safety in the community.
As for buying tickets, the Kamenari-Lepetane ferry line takes care of passengers’ satisfaction, and that’s why it introduced the most efficient and fastest way – an online ticket office. In addition, the timetable is carefully planned to ensure continuous connectivity. From morning to midnight, ferries depart every 20 minutes, while during the night, from midnight to six in the morning, the interval is extended to 30 minutes.
This driving regime is valid from May 1 to October 1, ensuring citizens have a reliable travel option throughout the season. Regardless of whether they are everyday travelers or tourists who want to explore the coast of Montenegro, the Kamenari-Lepetane ferry line stands as a symbol of accessibility, comfort and efficiency. With the Public Enterprise for the Management of the Maritime Assets of Montenegro, this vital link remains the heart of connectivity between coasts, creating bridges between people and destinations.
